Denver Harbor Clinic provides health care and social services to the residents of an isolated, low-income, primarily Hispanic neighborhood of approximately 28,000 residents in Houston, Texas. It offers much-needed primary health care to the community and provides the residents with a focal point for redeveloping their depressed economy. MissionWise worked with the Clinic to help it achieve three goals: 1) increase insured patient population; 2) increase overall patient encounters, and 3) increase community awareness of the clinic.
MissionWise guided Denver Harbor Clinic through establishing consistent messaging, launching a new brand to reflect the Clinic’s strengths and credibility, helping to create temporary signage to increase the visibility of the Clinic, implementing a targeted public-relations campaign, and more. The marketing communications work with MissionWise was a key contributor to Denver Harbor Clinic achieving an increase in their patient population by 21% and overall patient encounters by 46%. The community is more aware of the clinic, word-of-mouth referrals have increased, and the Clinic has forged partnerships with key referral sources.
